At White Rabbit Hay, we believe that every blade of grass matters—not just to the bunnies who munch on our premium hay but to the broader ecosystem we all share. As we celebrate World Wildlife Day, we want to take a moment to reflect on why sustainability and biodiversity are at the heart of everything we do.
Our aim when creating White Rabbit Hay was not only to differentiate our product with continuity of supply and quality but also to address public concerns over the existential issues of our time, such as global warming, climate change, pollution, wildlife conservation etc.
To this end we provide our product in fully compostable and recyclable packaging completely free of plastics. Our hay is packed in paper sacks and cardboard boxes using only gum backed paper tape and is sent farm fresh direct to your door (with free UK delivery!)
Our hay is pesticide free and our carbon footprint could not be any lower with minimal transportation used to send “Scot’s” timothy hay, from the heart of Scotland to your homes across the UK.
Carbon positive grassland/hay is possible because all grass varieties immediately start to sequester carbon as soon as they begin to grow, coupled with the fact that the grass is annually harvested without disturbing the soil and the ground is only ploughed every 10-15 years (sometimes much longer) the lifespan release of carbon is miniscule when compared to carbon retention over the same period.
Our customers tell us that their pets love all our different hays and we know we have an award-winning native grass variety that can provide continuity of supply and quality to a environmentally aware market at a competitive price.
When you choose White Rabbit Hay, you’re not only giving your pets the best but also supporting a brand that values wildlife and sustainability. Together, we can contribute to a greener, healthier planet where nature thrives.
Happy World Wildlife Day! Let’s celebrate the wonders of our natural world—today and every day.
