Keep Hay in a Cool, Dry Location
Too much humidity can cause hay to become musty or mouldy so it’s recommended to keep your pet’s hay in a cool and dry location where possible. When stored correctly, our White Rabbit Hay has a shelf life of 6 months.
Store Hay in a Dark Space
To keep your hay from being bleached or damaged by sunlight (which can make it less appetizing for your nibblers), we suggest storing it in a dark, well-ventilated space such as a garage, shed or large dustbin.
Give Hay Adequate Ventilation
Without proper ventilation, hay can become musty or mouldy. Keeping it stored in our White Rabbit Hay box or bag will keep it fresh, or you could also choose to store it in a separate container. The temperature of the room you store it in is important too, so we advise that hay is best kept at no warmer than room temperature.
